Family Beach Portrait Session – Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Florida

I’ve fallen a bit behind on my blogging, but just couldn’t miss an opportunity to share the wonderful “K” family from Cape Coral, Florida.   I traveled to this area recently and offered a limited number of family sessions – something I hope to do more regularly!   I’m so grateful for the privilege of getting to know this sweet family!  Scott and Jenny, thank you for your flexibility with working around those famous pop-up afternoon thunderstorms, as well as your willingness to meet me in the early morning hours for your session!   (Note for my other clients:  This is actually a GREAT option for families as well as those clients wishing to avoid heat or crowds!)  In this case, our early morning session allowed Scott to head off to work for the day after we accomplished our family shots and his individual portraits, while I continued working with Jenny and the kids.  And the magic just unfolded!

I Love To Photograph Food… Almost As Much As I Like To Eat It!

A few recents:
White Pizza with Sundried Tomatoes and Fresh Basil

Grilled Moroccan Chicken and Roasted Cauliflower with Spring Salad (Moroccan Rub complements of Target.  It’s been discontinued, so I’m looking for suggestions for a great homemade replacement, if you have suggestions.  Loved the sweet/savory combo of spices!)

A nice, simple dinner on the deck:  Cheese, Kalamatas, Fresh Basil (a recurring theme!) and a good Spanish wine

A salad rich in nuts and berries:

Illusion de Sirène ~ Fine Art Portraiture, Cape Coral, Florida and Dallas, Texas

Delighted that Sara was willing to enter the waters of the Gulf in her lovely dress, I knew we’d capture something special!  I felt compelled to create an art piece worthy of her sense of adventure!  It will be printed on fine art paper and treated with encaustic medium, an ancient art form using beeswax and resin, to give it a soft, dreamlike quality:  Thank you, Sara, for the privilege of capturing your beauty!

Family Beach Photo Session – Cape Coral, Florida

I adore doing beach sessions!  This happens to be my brother’s family during a recent visit with them.  I may be a little biased, but aren’t they just a beautiful family?  And there’s just something about the salt air, gentle breezes, and glorious scenery that always brings out the best in my subjects!   Watch for announcements for Sei Bella Studios’ upcoming trips to a beach near you, or contact us to put in a request for a visit to your area.

Having fun and laughing together…  an important part of every day!

And the softer moods that were evoked as we witnessed a beautiful sunset…

It’s a big, beautiful world out there… go explore something new today!

Just Beachy! Beach Photography, Florida

Everyone needs a little time off every now and then.  When I’m in need of a break, my favorite getaway is the beach.  Last week, two dear friends and I stayed in Perdido Key, FL.  How refreshing the time was!   We laughed together, talked late into the night, watched chick flicks, cooked like gourmet chefs and then enjoyed our creations.  We shopped, explored new cities, and of COURSE… spent hours on the beach!    The first day, we purchased a very lovely, very LARGE tent to protect our fair skin.  The setup process that baffled and vexed us early in the week became a science… we became experts at the “three minute tent,” though I fear I will be reminded of my decision to “go big” for decades!  We made so many priceless memories!  If you’re thinking about a girls’ (or guys’ ) trip, I encourage you to go for it!   Thanks to our families who held down the fort and made it possible for us to go.  The words, “next time” were enthusiastically used several times on our excursion.  Can’t wait for the next one!  Will it be the Hometown Tour?  The mountains?  Another beach?  Whatever it is, I know it will be wonderful!

(Watch for more later. Valuing my friendships deeply, I won’t post pictures of my friends without their permission – especially swimsuit pictures!)
